See Shocking Reason Why Cristiano Ronaldo Will Not Play Against Former Club Real Madrid
See Shocking Reason Why Cristiano Ronaldo Will Not Play Against Former Club Real Madrid
Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly have to wait to face his former Real Madrid team-mates as he will sit out Juventus’ summer tour. The Serie A outfit completed a £100million switch for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner following Portugal’s World Cup exit. And according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo has been given permission to sit out of the pre-season US trip.
Juventus will face Bayern Munich in Philadelphia on July 25 and Benfica in New York on July 28. They then take on an MLS All-Star line-up in Atalanta before the clash with Real in Washington D.C. on August 4.
Fans would have hoped to see Ronaldo, 33, face Los Blancos just weeks after quitting the Bernanbeu.
But AS has backed up La Gazzetta dello Sport’s claim, insisting the decision to let him sit out was made after long talks with Juve chief Max Allegri and his staff.
After making his move, Ronaldo – who will earn £26m a season with Juve – said: “It wasn’t a very difficult decision to take.
“I prefer to think of me in the present – the present is very clear, I enjoy football, I am still rather young and I have always like challenges in my life.
“So from Sporting, to Manchester to Real, it was a dream, I didn’t really think I would win so many titles individually or at a club. “I think this new challenge will be as good as the others. It is just one new step in my career.”

Let’s Predict: Mancity vs Chelsea, Win or Draw???
We all know that Manchester City is on the strong move to win the Premier League and whether Chelsea will be able to slow them down will totally depended on how they play tomorrow at the Etihad Stadium.
vs
We also can’t forget in a hurry the humiliation Arsenal suffered recently at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s side, suffering back-to-back 3-0 defeats in the space of five days. Chelsea did show a bit of dexterity when they played Barcelona earlier so we hope they pull through tomorrow.
The match goes on at 5pm Sunday, how do you think it will end???

Man City vs Chelsea: Guardiola Speaks On Conte’s Poor Defense Of Premier League Title
Antonio Conte and Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola is surprised at Chelsea’s poor defence of their Premier League title, but praised Antonio Conte for changing English football.
Conte secured the title in his first season at Stamford Bridge having arrived in the Premier League at the same time Guardiola was appointed as Manchester City boss.
The tables have turned this season and, as the pair prepare to clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, live on Sky Sports Premier League, City hold a 16-point lead over neighbours Manchester United at the summit with Chelsea six points further adrift down in fifth.
Conte conceded after defeat to Manchester United last weekend that Champions League qualification will now be tough for the reigning champions.
While Chelsea were losing at Old Trafford, Guardiola was collecting his first silverware in England with victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
They followed up that win with another 3-0 drubbing of the Gunners on Thursday night to take them within five wins of the title.
Guardiola admits Chelsea’s attempt to defend their crown has caught him by surprise, but believes it has been the high standard set by his side that has made all other seasons appear average.
“If you asked me at the beginning of the season, yes,” Guardiola replied when asked if he was surprised by Chelsea’s title defence.
“And now too, yes, of course, but we are doing well. We dropped few points. That’s why. The results from United, Tottenham, Chelsea, they are good.
“They are results to fight for the Premier League. We have 75 points and they still want 78 or 79, so we need 81 or 82 to be champion.
Conte has faced speculation over his immediate future at Chelsea, with the Italian batting away questions on the subject on a weekly basis, but Guardiola believes the former Juventus boss’ approach will have a lasting effect on the English game.
“What Antonio has done here in the Premier League, maybe the people don’t realise,” he added.
“He introduced another way to attack with five at the back, another system, a lot of teams, even Arsenal, had to do a lot of imitating to do that.
“Tactically he is a master, he did it amazingly with the national team with Italy and when he went to Turin. I think Conte is going to leave something to English football. I’m sure of that.”

Olivier Giroud Rescues Late Point For Arsenal At Southampton
Substitute Olivier Giroud glanced in a superb late header to salvage a point for an underwhelming Arsenal side at disciplined Southampton.
The Frenchman climbed above Virgil van Dijk to steer home Alexis Sanchez’s cross in the 88th minute to make Arsenal’s possession finally pay.
It had seemed the Gunners’ slow start was going to cost them on successive weekends when Charlie Austin clipped home the opener three minutes into the match with the away defence mere onlookers.
The Southampton striker also drilled a shot into Petr Cech’s gloves shortly after and then hit the post.
A sharp save from Aaron Ramsey apart, Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster had little to do as the visitors struggled to carve out clear-cut chances before their late leveller.
Indeed Southampton were left to rue several wasted chances on the counter attack, with Ryan Bertrand missing the best of those in the second half.
A draw moves Arsenal level on points but behind on goal difference to fourth-placed Liverpool, who play in Sunday afternoon’s Merseyside derby. Southampton break into the top half of the table, leapfrogging Huddersfield and Everton into 10th.
Arsenal’s dominance over Manchester United in their last league game came to nothing after a slow start full of individual errors gave them too much ground to make up.
Arsene Wenger made one change from that line-up, but Per Mertesacker’s inclusion did not remove that flaw at St Mary’s.
The German centre-back gave possession away cheaply and was made to pay as Dusan Tadic’s cute reverse ball picked out Austin, who clinically found the net.
It could easily have been worse for the Gunners in the opening 10 minutes too, as the visiting defence lacked any cohesion or organisation collectively.
Individually, Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal failed to track runners or show the commitment of the Saints attackers.
Just as against United, Arsenal spent plenty of time on the ball in the second half, with 70% possession after the break – but moments of real concern for the Southampton defence were rare before Giroud’s equaliser.
The Frenchman’s celebration, pointing to the name on the back of his shirt, might have been a reminder to his manager that he is available from the start. He has scored four league goals in 13 substitute appearances during this campaign yet is still to make his first start.

Neymar Unfollows Edinson Cavani On Instagram Over Set-Piece Issue
Neymar has supposedly unfollowed his teammate, Edison Cavanni on social media following a slight contention over set-piece duties amid PSG 2-0 win over Lyon on Sunday.
After PSG won a free-kick, Dani Alves kept the ball from Edinson Cavani until the point when the Brazilian showed up nowhere to take the set-piece. Be that as it may, it was tragic Neymar couldn’t get his effort on target as his row with colleague Cavani heightened.

We never placed any amount on Coutinho – Liverpool
Barcelona’s claim that Liverpool placed 200m euros (£183m) for playmaker Philippe Coutinho has been denied by the Anfield lords.
According to reports by the BBC , Barcelona director Albert Soler said the Reds put that valuation on the Brazilian on the final day of the Spanish transfer window on Friday.
Liverpool turned down three offers from the Spanish side for Coutinho, who had made a transfer request, and maintain the 25-year-old was not for sale.
The Anfield club regard Barcelona’s claim as “absolutely false”.
“Liverpool were asking for 200m and logically we didn’t accept that,” said Soler at a news conference on Saturday.
“We thank the player for the efforts he made, because he did make a big effort and showed he wanted to play for us.
“The situation ended as it ended and there is nothing else we can do.”
Barcelona wanted Coutinho after selling his Brazil team-mate Neymar to Paris St-Germain for a world record fee of £200m.
Liverpool said Coutinho was not for sale and rejected bids of £72m, £90m and one in the region of £114m prior to the deadline in Spain, which closed a day later than in England.
Coutinho, who scored 14 goals last season and spent six weeks out with an ankle injury, signed a new five-year deal at Anfield in January which did not include a release clause.
He then said he wanted to leave via email, a day before the Reds opened their Premier League campaign at Watford on 12 August.
A back injury has forced him to miss all three top-flight games this season and the two legs of a Champions League qualifier against TSG Hoffenheim, which the Reds won 6-3 on aggregate.
However, the midfielder made his first appearance of the season when he played for Brazil in a 2-0 win over Ecuador in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday, scoring the second goal.
