This Is What Being Abandoned By Your Best Friend Truly Feels Like

This Is What Being Abandoned By Your Best Friend Truly Feels Like

It is not new to me, it happened twice already. I mean having a friend that you almost treasured as a family will leave you unintentionally. And now it is happening again.
She is not leaving because I was a horrible friend – she’s leaving for the better, for her future. But what makes the situation worse is the feeling of being abandoned by someone you love, by someone you spent years of laughter, and by someone you thought would stay permanently.
I think it will always give us a clenching feeling right in the heart whenever someone so important needs to spend their lives without us. Because honestly, we want to be there in every part of their lives or just being there with them whenever it’s a simple day or an important one.
We feel these uncertain emotions because of proximity, being far with them makes us feel detached from their lives. That our selfish soul wanted to be part of everything. Because in some part of our lives with her we are always there to share every crazy and horrible moments with. And just thinking of her without your circle is enough to bring uncalled emotions.
I’ve been in this situation before and it is horrible. At first, you will establish possible ways to make communication with her because you don’t want to feel incomplete (cheesy may it sound but it’s true), but it will fade not soon but later because you will realize that both of you have lives and dreams to feed. And it happened that she needs to build those dreams miles away.
You both will get their own lives, get busy, meet new friends, and unintentionally communication will falter. But let me tell you this, that even you don’t communicate every day, memories in mind won’t falter because I believe that memories you shared with someone you love are not easy to break. They are chains that makes you whole, that makes you, you. They are chains, it will hold you no matter what surge of sadness breaks because you miss her, it will stay no matter how detached you feel, and it will never be forgotten even how much busy you get and how much shit we faced.
Memories seems like a ghost, they will haunt you down when you feel alone and I think that is beautiful.
Unlike any other memories, it won’t make me cry or scared but it will only make us happy because what you shared together are the ones without complications and pretensions. You have this relationship that is shitless. You are true to each other and that is priceless.
Maybe it will take years before we meet again. I’m sure places you’ll go will do good to you and I can’t wait for the future to come. You all successful and gorgeous that you are, my friend. And I hope as you depart that memories and good times will bring you back here.It is not new to me, it happened twice already. Don’t Let The Trust He Broke Keep You From Letting The Next Guy In

Don’t Let The Trust He Broke Keep You From Letting The Next Guy In

You trusted him. Against your better judgment, or maybe because you see the best in people, you decided to give him a chance. You thought he was different. You heard his sweet, candy-coated words and you believed them. You felt light-headed when he spoke, and thought it was love. You got wrapped up in his actions, his laughter, the way he made your heart beat all crazy. You thought he was worthy of seeing your whole heart. You thought he was a good one.

You thought wrong.

Sometimes it’s so hard to tell people’s true intentions. You hear their words, you see their lips moving and everything sounds so beautiful. You see the way they smile, feel how that little curve of their mouth warms your body, and you can’t tell the difference between genuine and a game.

It’s okay—we’ve all been there.

We’ve all been caught up in people who we never knew were playing us. We’ve all trusted the wrong one, all given our hearts to someone who hadn’t deserved it in the slightest.

You loved him, didn’t you?

You never thought that he could be that kind of person. You never thought that you’d find yourself here: mind spinning, wondering how, wondering why.

You believe people because why the hell would they be lying, right? It doesn’t make sense that he would say one thing and do another. That he would tell you he loves you if he didn’t mean it. That he would mess with your heart just to mess with it. Because he could mess around all he wanted without you, right? But he choose to be with you, right? You ask yourself this over and over and over until it makes you sick.

You trusted him, and he betrayed you.

Every word he said was a lie. Every promise was broken. Every action was fake. Every text message calculated. Every declaration of love was said not only to you, but to another girl, maybe to several girls. Everything you thought was real was not, not at all.

And it breaks your heart.

But it shouldn’t. It can’t. Don’t let it.

This man, this liar, this betrayer is not worth your time and energy, not anymore. He turned out to be someone who you cannot depend on, someone who isn’t right for you, someone who has wasted your time and broke you. And he doesn’t deserve the satisfaction of even knowing that you are hurt.

This man found his way into the deepest parts of you. You let him in, and he tore through you senselessly, never once thinking about your feelings or about what it meant that you trusted him. That you opened to him like you haven’t with anyone else.

This man has taken your heart and thrown it away. But now you can clean it, heal it, comfort it, strengthen it, and prepare it for the right man to love it better than he ever did.

He isn’t worthy of your tears, your pain, your anger. You cannot let yourself be bitter over trusting him. You can’t hang your head because you opened up to him, because you made a mistake, because you lost out on so much time being with the right one.

None of that matters anymore.

You trusted him and he was the wrong one. It’s over now. Now you rebuild. Now you let go. Now you are careful, but you don’t change yourself. You are not wrong for trusting him. He was words masked by lies and deceitfulness—there was no way you could have seen through that.

As much as your heart aches, please forgive yourself. This is just a blip on the map of your life and one day you will look back and hardly remember this moment, and hardly remember him.

What matters now, is how you pick yourself up. How you decide to move forward. How you choose to let go of pain. How you promise to love yourself into healing, and look for the man with the right intentions.

You are not stupid. Not naïve. Not foolish. Not unworthy. You are just a woman caught in a web, a web you have escaped from now. So gather your heart, gather your head, gather your happiness and carry it with you. You are no longer burdened by betrayal and lies. You are no longer in the grasp of a man who doesn’t care for you.

You are free.

You are free to love and move forward, so put this behind you and walk with grace and confidence. The right man is out there, and searching for you. Don’t be afraid to open your heart to him because he is worthy of all you have to give, and he will be nothing like the one before.

Sex in married life

Sex in married life

As the years pass by in your marriage, your sex life can get monotonous. Sex might seem like a routine. Believe it or not, sex can just get plain boring!

Your bodies change with time and age. You perhaps don’t find yourself and your partner as desirable and sexy as you did when you first met. And with that, sex isn’t as exciting anymore. You might also feel like you know each other’s bodies like the back of your hand. You might feel like there’s nothing left to explore. You’ve done whatever needs to be done to turn each other on hundreds of times. What next?
A word of reassurance: you’re not alone. Many couples find themselves scurrying for answers to the same question. Nobody wants a stale sex life, right? So here are some tips to spice up your married sex life.

  • Think sex and think sexy.
Sex is still an important part of your relationship, even when you’ve been together for years, and life is full of other concerns.

  • Talk about your sexual desires.
Now that after years of marriage you are comfortable with each other, communicate with each other about the different ideas you have about sex. Basically, let each other know what you expect in your sex life.

  • Share responsibility for adding romance to your marriage. Don’t blame each other for a boring sex life. See what you can do to make it better.

  • Get back in shape – it’s good for your health as well as your sex life. If you think your body needs some toning, go running or hit the gym. Work out together. Feel attractive and you will look attractive to your partner.

  • Plan date nights. It doesn’t need to involve anything elaborate. Just find ways to spend time with each other, minus the kids. It could be dinner at a restaurant, a walk on the beach, a movie – whatever suits you.

  • Set the mood for romance.
Take the effort to try something different in your bedroom. If you’ve done the erotic scents and baths, try sex toys. A panty vibrator or a playful condom could turn the heat up, or how about an oil massage with a happy ending?

  • Play games with each other. Write down your sexual fantasies in chits and pool them together into a hat. Pull one out each week and follow the instructions. This will kill the predictability in your sex life. (But remember that fantasies are not always something you – or your partner – would like to act out in real life. Make it a rule that you will never pressure your partner into doing something they don’t feel comfortable with.)

  • Express your intimacy. Touch your partner in different ways throughout the day – it doesn’t have to be sexual, just intimate. Write sexy, suggestive messages via emails, chat or SMSs. Get them thinking about sex even when you’re not having it.   Sometimes your sex life can suffer because of a sexual dysfunction – that means anything that causes you difficulty having or enjoying sex. Common dysfunctions are trouble getting an erection for men, and pain during sex for women.

There can be various different causes, both physical and psychological. But don’t just put up with it – get medical help. Sexual dysfunctions affect lots of people and most are curable. Think of all the positive things it will add to your life once the problem is solved! You can contact Love Matters’ partner FPA for advice.

This Is Why Your Ex Is Still In Love With You Based On Your Zodiac Sign

This Is Why Your Ex Is Still In Love With You Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Aries

(March 21st to April 19th)

Your ex is still in love with you because you set their world on fire and then left them with the ashes. You fueled their life with excitement, and after the breakup it just wasn’t the same. Everything seems so bland without you which is exactly why they’re still in love with you.

Taurus

(April 20th to May 21st)

Your ex is still in love with you because you were the one person in their life they could ALWAYS depend on. Now that you’re gone they’ve had to find someone else to rely on, and it hasn’t been easy. They feel lost without you.

Gemini

(May 22nd to June 21st)

Your ex is still in love with you because they miss the way you love. Your affection meant everything to them. It made them feel warm and safe. You made them feel loved, and they miss that.

Cancer

(June 22nd to July 22nd)

Your ex is still in love with you because they no longer have someone who takes care of them, someone who worries about them, and someone who misses them when they’re gone. You showed them a love that was sensitive and gentle. You deeply cared for them, and they know that, which is why they still love you even thought the relationship is over.

Leo

(July 23rd to August 22nd)

Your ex is still in love with you because you’re completely irresistible. Every time they see you, you look amazing and genuinely happy. You were one of the best things that’s ever happened to them, and every time they run into you, they’re reminded of that.
Virgo

(August 23rd to September 22nd)

Your ex is still in love with you because their life fell apart after you left . You helped keep their life intact. You were there for them through every hard time. You didn’t leave because things got tough, you left because you felt unappreciated when they did. Your ex still loves you because they only realized what they had until after it was gone.

Libra

(September 23rd to October 22nd)

Your ex is still in love with you because you kept the drama out of their life, and now it’s found a way to seep back in. You were the peacekeeper for more than just your relationship, you gave them clarity on what truly mattered in life, and what didn’t. Now that you’re gone, they’re giving importance to meaningless things that don’t deserve their energy, and it’s making them feel exhausted. They still love you because you they miss the way their life was drama-free when they were with you.

Scorpio

(October 23rd to November 22nd)

Your ex is still in love with you because they have trouble making decisions without you. You made their life feel certain and stable. You helped make decisions for them when they couldn’t, which is precisely why you left. Now they’re still in love with you because they’re craving your advice and your approval.

Sagittarius

(November 23rd to December 21st)

Your ex is still in love with you because you left with little notice, and you didn’t ask them to come with you. You like to have your independence, to be able to do things on your own, and when you felt like they were holding you back, you knew you had to let them go. You didn’t feel the need to slowly depart from your relationship because dragging out the end would’ve just been more painful. Your ex still loves you because you didn’t give them the clarity of closure.
Capricorn

(December 22nd to January 20th)

Your ex is still in love with you because you don’t reach out to them at all. You have complete self-control, and you’re not about to text them at 2 AM just because you’ve had one too many vodka sodas. Your ex thinks you don’t miss them, which makes them want you to miss them. Your ex is still in love with you because they want you to still love them too.

Aquarius

(January 21st to February 18th)

Your ex is still in love with you because they miss those deep conversations that would keep them up at night. You were the one person who really made them feel understood . They’ve tried dating other people, but they compare everyone to you because no one lives up to the deep connection you were able to form so early on. Your ex still loves you because they can’t find someone else who just gets them the way you did.

Pisces

(February 19th to March 20th)

Your ex is still in love with you because they miss being swept off their feet. You showed them what romance really was, and you spoiled them to the idea that every relationship will have it. They’re still in love with you because they’ve kept all of the cards and handmade gifts you gave them, and every time they look back at them, they’re reminded of how incredible you were and still are.

You Don’t Have to Be Perfect to Find Love (But You DO Need THIS)

You Don’t Have to Be Perfect to Find Love (But You DO Need THIS)

Don't set yourself up for failure.

There’s no such thing as “perfect” when it comes to human beings.

The question that really matters, when you're looking for real love is this: Do you think you’re good enough to have a great relationship?

Most dating books try to get you to find your ideal partner. Embarrassingly, even one of my own books has a subtitle that states how to find your ideal partner. I wish I could change that subtitle. So let me square that here and tell you what I really think about the concept of the "ideal" partner:

There is no such thing as an ideal partner. There is only the good enough partner, and the great relationship .

Now don’t get me wrong, a good enough partner is actually terrifi c. When I say good enough I mean, not perfect. While there are no guidebooks for being a perfect partner or for finding an ideal mate, there are some solid guidelines that will determine whether your relationship will be great, just good, passable, or nightmarish.

First, determine what your relationship should be — for both of you — and make sure your ideas serve both a personal interest and a mutual one.

Fashion your great relationship around real concerns such as the following:

Should we put the relationship first over all other matters? Should our relationship be fully transparent? Should we be in full care of one another? Should we protect each other in public and private? Should we always ensure each other’s sense of safety and security?

Once you’ve fleshed out your principles for a great relationship, look for a good enough partner who’s willing to play in the partnership sandbox with you.
Make sure you both agree what the relationship should be regardless of your imperfections. For instance, in my marriage our relationship is governed by a set of principles that we both believe in. These principles protect us from ourselves and each other as well as outsiders.

These principles, or agreements, guide our behavior in the relationship because if we let our personalities, our interests, our feelings, or our whims guide us, we would likely no longer be happily married .

So to summarize, you do not need to be the embodiment of mental health, or the nicest person in the world, or anything other than yourself.

What you must do is be clear on what the relationship should be for both of you and then accept nothing else. Hopefully, you will expect and insist that your love relationship be fully collaborative, egalitarian, respectful, and sensitive. If that “ideal” partner of yours doesn’t buy into these principles, they are far from ideal — and not right for you at all!
6 Different Boyfriends, And What They Will Teach You About Relationships

6 Different Boyfriends, And What They Will Teach You About Relationships

Boyfriend #1

I wasn’t ever truly in love with you because we both had no idea what love was. But you cheated on me. As a freshman/sophomore I was at a fragile age. Bring on the insecurities for future relationships.

If he’s not making time for you, he’s making it for someone else.

Boyfriend #2

You were a baby. You can say my cougarness started here. You were always sweet to me and asked me to Homecoming better than anyone else. I liked you, I did but I shouldn’t have dragged on the minor relationship we had. At least we both look back and laugh, along with everyone else at our high school.

You may have a crush on someone, doesn’t always mean you should date him or her.

Boyfriend #3

You were the first “I love you”. We made it through the honeymoon stage but pressures of high school and family got in the way. We really did have a great relationship full of laughter and just plain high school love. We even had an epic break up that consisted of yelling and then Golden Spoon after.

Some people that come into your life to leave you, they leave a wound. How you take care of that wound is what makes the difference.

Boyfriend #4

I first saw you on Myspace! HA Myspace! Even though our time together was short, I loved it. We didn’t go to the same school and the group of friends that you surrounded yourself with was nothing like I have ever seen. It was beautiful! You opened my eyes to God. I think you will secretly forever be my dad’s favorite cause whenever your name is mentioned to this day he says “My Boy!”
If you know he makes you better person, then he is for sure a keeper. Why aren’t I still with him? In the end we were different people. This happens and it’s nothing to sulk about just be grateful that person was in your life.

Boyfriend #5

To this day I still can’t believe I dated you. You were terrible, treated me like dirt and constantly cheated on me emotionally and physically with your ex girlfriend. But what is crazy to me the most I how long I stuck around. “Maddie he loves one thing that starts with an “M” and its not you. This was said to me and I should have listened.

You need this relationship because then you know exactly what you don’t want in a relationship.

Boyfriend #6

We had a wonderful, stealthy, and fightless relationship. Our relationship was secret for a while and I think that’s what made it so exciting. I loved our relationship.I was completely myself with you. Your family was mine and mine was yours. We were active and adventurous but the memories that first come to mind are snuggling with your dog while watching Chopped and belting out Maroon 5 in my car. You’re always going to be “Little One” to me. Even though you’re a foot taller than me. Sadly, I think the age difference got the better of us.

Sometimes two people aren’t meant to be together. They share happy/unforgettable times but in the end they are destined to make memories with someone new.

To The Girl Who Fell In Love For The First Time, Don’t Be Afraid

To The Girl Who Fell In Love For The First Time, Don’t Be Afraid

I know you’re going through a rollercoaster ride right now and believe me when I say ‘enjoy every moment of it.’

I know you’re used to being alone. You’re used to never having to text someone in the morning just to say ‘have a great day’.

You’re used to going to sleep at night without having to share to someone how awesome or tiring your day was. You’re used to doing things your way and not asking someone for their opinion.

You’re used to sleeping at 9pm rather than talking to someone until 1am. You’re used to not having to check your phone every minute thinking about what’s delaying his reply. You’re used to doing things on your own without having someone offer their help.

And right now, as you are reading this, you might probably be feeling a little scared. Guess what? Me too. I know how hard it is to deal with these new emotions. I know how frustrating it is that for once; you are no longer in control of them. Falling in love can be scary especially when you’ve heard your friends rant about how their boyfriends cheated on them or how shitty their relationship is. Perhaps what daunts you the most is the thought of losing him; that suddenly just when you’re madly in love with him he’ll disappear and never talk to you again. And I know that you are doing everything you can to not fall in love because you are afraid to get hurt.

But that won’t work.

I want you to forget all your doubts. I want you to remember that you now have the power to create your own love story. And if your story doesn’t end up well, so be it. Falling in love is the most liberating feeling but it’s also the toughest. It won’t go easy on you but you’re strong and I know you can handle this. I want you to understand that it’s okay to say ‘I love you’. For the first time in many years, you can finally say those three words to a guy that means so much to you. Don’t be afraid to say it, let those words flow out of your mouth and mean it.
I want you to know that there’s an amazing guy who would do anything to make you happy. Maybe along the away things go bitter and suddenly he is no longer the guy you fell in love with but that’s okay. It’s okay because not everything will shatter just because he’s gone. Your life doesn’t revolve around him and you know that. And yes, there’s probably a chance that you’ll get hurt. But that’s the beauty of falling in love. You get yourself broken and then you get to fix yourself, only this time you’re much stronger. Don’t let your fears stop you from being happy. You owe it to yourself to experience love in all its flaws and perfections.

And if falling in love was a mistake, then I tell you it’s the greatest mistake you have ever done.

8 Things You Do That Men Simply DO NOT Understand

8 Things You Do That Men Simply DO NOT Understand

We're not dumb. We just really, really, don't understand.

Can somebody invent Google translate between genders ? That would be FANTASTIC. Forget Spanish, French, German and Japanese; I need a translator for women .

Ladies: Sometimes, you say and do things that we as men just do NOT understand, and this can make our relationships REALLY freaking complicated .

For the most part, we're practical (notice, the most part). We say what's on our minds and we act based on those thoughts. And due to this simplicity in thought processes, we can NOT wrap our minds around certain things women do .

We love you, we really, really do, but for the life of us, sometimes, we just don't GET you .

To make things easier for us, it would really, REALLY help to straight up TELL us what you're thinking . But until then, here's a few things that we men just don't get about women :

1. “It’s Fine”

No, no it’s not “fine.” Any time a woman says it’s “fine,” it’s a warning sign that a man is doing something very, very wrong.

But why can’t you just tell us?

Why say it’s “fine” when it’s REALLY not? For guys, it’s much easier to just say when something is bugging us, so sometimes we just can’t wrap our minds around the concept of women saying it’s “fine.”

Can someone explain this?

2. Why do you wear such uncomfortable shoes? (Seriously.)

Your limping and bruised ankles beg to differ when you say "they are comfy, I swear!" There is NO way that those 6-inch stilettos are “comfy.” You’re basically walking on popsicle sticks.
HOW you do it is beyond us, but WHY you do it is the even bigger mystery.

Because they’re cute? Ok, so are baby tigers, until they get old come after you. Just like your shoes will do to your feet. If they cause more pain than pleasure, wear something else.

3. Why is your purse a black hole?

Phone, keys, wallet. That’s the mantra for a man leaving his house. Why is there an entire ecosystem living in your purse? You have snacks, makeup, an assortment of old candy, and enough spare change to make a CoinStar machine smile, but WHY?

There’s a fine line between being prepared and preparing for the apocalypse.

And what’s more, you have bags IN your hand bag. It’s like a Russian nesting doll: They just keep unzipping to find smaller and smaller items.

4. Why does bathroom time = a group field trip?

Can you not do it by yourself? Like, really, what DO women do in there? If a guy goes to the bathroom, he’s on a mission and nothing will distract him until his objective is complete. For women, it seems like there's more to the story...

5. Why does chocolate fix EVERYTHING?

“I’m mad.” Chocolate chips. “I’m sad.” Chocolate ice cream. “I’m happy!” Chocolate cake. Why does chocolate seem to be the go-to cure all for basically every situation?

Yes, it’s delicious. But is there some kind of magical property to it that men are just oblivious to? It’s almost as if doctors should be prescribing Hershey’s over pain killers. Could the long sought-after secret ingredient to a long-lasting relationship be something as simple as Nesquik?

6. Why do you ask our opinion if you don’t want it?

If you ask us, we’re going to tell you. If you don’t want us to tell you, why ask? Why do you ask us how you look in something if you don’t want to hear the answer?

Since I Can’t Love You, I’ll Love What I Remember About You

Since I Can’t Love You, I’ll Love What I Remember About You

How do I say I want you back?

I mean, I left you. I broke your heart. I watched you suffer and I walked away. Really, I just wanted you to feel my pain. I wanted you to understand what it felt like for someone to choose something else instead of you. It’s not that I wanted to hurt you, I just wanted you to be able to see my point of view.

How do I get you back? The thing is, for the first time, you don’t want me back. I’d like to say I’m happy for you and all that other stuff that people say just to be nice, but what I really feel is regret. Now that I don’t have you around I feel empty. Not empty like I can’t go on, but empty like when I smile it never reaches my heart. When I laugh, there’s still that sting. When I cry, I cry a lot more than I should.

You are always in my mind and I can’t get you out. Everything reminds me of you and the worst part is that it’s the stupid little things. Brownie brittle, a soccer ball, the mountains, my Hawaiian Islands birthmark. I remember being afraid the other day that I was on the verge of forgetting you so I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and conjured up your memory.

Wide fingers, hands dry from the winter wind, freckles lining your arms. I remembered touching the stubble on your cheek and how it would poke me when I kissed you. I could almost feel the way your hair felt under my hands; soft, a little dry, and a slight amount of oil that would linger on my fingertips. Then there were your eyes. Small and simple with wrinkles around your eyelids from squinting. They were green and when the light hit them it was like starring into green meadows.
I was so scared I was beginning to forget you that I traced every inch of you to brand it into my brain. Then the tears came, but they weren’t the normal kind. They were the tears of reliving a beautiful glimpse in time.

I’m sure everyone gets tired of hearing about you. They give reasons for your actions and I always say “No, he’s not like that.” I refuse to believe you are like any other typical guy. I know you aren’t. You love deeply and you mean what you say. When you care about someone you always will.

So every day I wonder if you’ve forgotten about me or if you don’t love me anymore. But then I remember you, and I know that can’t be true. Sure, you’ve moved on and lived your life, but I know you haven’t forgotten me because I haven’t lived a day without remembering you.

We both see other people and distract our minds by friends and responsibilities, but there’s always that moment when I wonder where you are, what you’re doing, how you feel. I know you do it too.

So how do I say I want you back? I don’t have to. I’ll always want you and deep down you already know that.

I hate accepting that we don’t always get what we want. I hate knowing we may not ever be together again.

So tonight I’ll love your memory since I can’t love you.

Four things you should never give up for a relationship

Four things you should never give up for a relationship

Love is a gift beyond compare. There are many people who are ready to do anything and I mean anything for the sake of love. However, there comes a time when you need to be very careful with the steps you take in life. There are different things you cannot afford to give up in the name of love. Here are four things you should never give up for a relationship.

 1. Self Respect

Self-respect is important in any relationship. Never create a chance to lose your self-respect in the name of loving someone. If you seem to be losing your self-respect at some point then you should reconsider the affair.

2. Happiness

If your love life has been undermining your happiness then it is time you thought twice. A good relationship is one full of happiness. Happiness is considered the long-term fulfillment of any relationship. A relationship where happiness is a nightmare is not worth.

3. Independence

Relationship are meant to be make stronger and better. Love should be a wonderful experience. You have to maintain your independence if you want to be in a long-lasting relationship. Do not leave everything at the mercy of another person while striving to get love in return.

4. Other Relationships

There are other people in your life. They equally deserve to be respected. Never undermine other relationship while striving to please a man or woman. Live knowing that you deserve happiness and love.

7 Foods You Should be Eating Before Having $ex

7 Foods You Should be Eating Before Having $ex

7 Foods You Should be Eating Before Having $ex
Everyone has their own version of a ritual before it becomes their time to shine, however, are you maximizing your full potential before $ex?
Aphrodisiacs are things that stimulate $exual desire or arouse excitement within the body. Different kinds of foods or drinks can jump-start this libido, and really spice things up in the bedroom. Aka it’s time to listen up and try eating these before $ex.
NUTS
Nuts contain large amounts of zinc, which is one of the key factors to a healthy libido. According to SELF, nuts also contain omega-3, which can cause a $exual response due to an increase in dopamine production.
STRAWBERRY
This one should be obvious. Strawberries have been used in a seductive manner for years now, bonus if they are covered in chocolate. The stunning red color, mixed with the sweet flavor of the berry, how could they not be absolutely tantalizing? Plus, back in the ancient Roman days, strawberries were known as a symbol of Venus.
COFFEE
Most of us drink coffee in the morning to help put a little extra pep in our step. So, why not give it a shot before $ex? Coffee helps to wake you up, get the blood flowing and increases stamina; all pretty useful, if not essential.
AVOCADOS
I guess there was a good reason for the avocado craze. According to PBS, “the Aztecs explained that [the avocado’s] name, ahucatl (meaning testicle), came not only from their physical appearance, but also from their ability to incite $exual passion.” The avocado helped many boost their immune system and their libido.
SEA FOOD
Seafood, oysters more specifically, is a great choice, again, because of our good friend, zinc. In addition to the zinc, hand feeding oysters or sushi could be all you need to spice it up in the bedroom.
BEETS
Maybe Dwight Schrute had it right all along. Beets contain tryptophan and betaine, which contribute to positive feelings. They also contain boron, which is a substance that helps to increase $ex hormones in the body.
DARK CHOCOLATE
Chocolate has always been a fan favorite for the indication of $ex. However, science has delved into the wonders behind what makes chocolate so powerful. Two essential parts were found phenethylamine and tryptophan. Apparently, these two components help us to fall in love and create serotonin in our brain.
POMEGRANATES
In 2011, it was discovered that by drinking pomegranate juice it lowered cortisol levels, thus increasing testosterone in men and women. Additionally, according to PBS, Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love planted the first pomegranate tree, and due to “their many seeds, pomegranates are often associated with fertility and abundance.”

Next time the mood strikes, impress your partner by stepping up your game and trying something new. What have you got to lose?

READ! I Want To Run/Fly Away With You; Says A Lady To Boyfriend

READ! I Want To Run/Fly Away With You; Says A Lady To Boyfriend

We are surrounded by exits, one in every direction. There are only so many times you can pass by that glowing red sign with the promising arrow and pretend not to notice it. We convince ourselves that we need this jacket, that duvet cover, this meal at that restaurant — we don’t need anything. We have the only thing that could possibly matter, and there is nagging part of me which knows that something in the daily tedium of money spent and hours worked is chipping away at it. It is so easy to look at another person through the fog of everything unrelated which is upsetting you, to take their beauty for granted because you imagine it will always be there when you roll over in the morning. I hate that I do this.

You have done nothing wrong in your life, you know. Well, maybe you have. I am sure there were times where you lied about who cheated on the third grade math test or said something unnecessarily cruel to a friend who stood you up. But I can’t recall a moment in which you didn’t merit being loved entirely, in which you were not an oasis from the relentless offenses of a world which is completely indifferent. I find fault only in the moments when you have to leave, when your body is being pulled away by some invisible force that goes under many names: “Work,” “errands,” “commitments.”

I am jealous of your bedsheets — the ones you wrap yourself in over and over when you are unreasonably cold for the season. I am jealous of the people who get to pass by you in the metro and who will never know your name. They don’t know that they are lucky, that their shoulders touch someone wonderful and generous and kind, someone who makes all of this worth it. I can’t expect everyone to know you, and yet I wish they did. I wish they could. I see people honored with awards and galas and cash prizes, but have any of them ever kissed someone on the forehead and made them feel as though they are good enough just the way they are? I hope so. There should be an award for that. A black-tie gala.
I want to take one of these exits. I want to walk out and pretend not to hear the calls behind me of “Where are you going?” “When are you coming back?” I don’t know when I am coming back, and there is no one I want to explain it to. Yes, I know that it is selfish and short-sighted to feel this way, but that is entirely your doing. Before you, I considered a million different sources of happiness, and now there only seems to be one. I want to isolate it and watch it grow in the perfect, controlled conditions. I don’t want it to be weighed on by a thousand people who push you in the grocery line or forget to call you back or don’t hold the door open.

There are tickets everywhere. We could go, and figure it out when we get there — throw a dart at the map the way they did in the comics and take our savings out entirely in cash. I know it’s impossible, I know that there is too much at risk, I know that we can’t just up and go. Your pragmatism is as frustrating as it is wonderfully necessary. But let’s just pretend. Sometimes it’s okay to pretend, to remember that we are surrounded by incredible people who don’t deserve to be softly beaten by the difficulties of daily life. I don’t want to take anything for granted, least of all you. Let me think of what it would be like if life were only the two of us — it will make going out to get groceries after work just that much easier to do. We all need the postcard of a beach in our cubicles.
I Don’t Need To Be Your Whole World, But I Want To Be Part Of It

I Don’t Need To Be Your Whole World, But I Want To Be Part Of It

“Why should a relationship mean settling down? Wait out for someone who won’t let life escape you, who will challenge you and drive you toward your dreams. Someone spontaneous you can get lost in the world with. A relationship, with the right person, is a release not a restriction.”

It should go without saying but this is my promise to you, so long as you’re with me, your life will remain yours and yours alone.
I have never thought of true love as someone being there at your side every moment of every day, but being free, and encouraged, to pursue your own passions and to share in the spoils of your triumphs together. If you need to get away, then pack your things and go, send me a postcard, or don’t, it is entirely up to you. If you have to sacrifice some of our time together to acquire your dream job, then go on, good luck, we’ll work around it. You will always have my understanding and support.
I don’t feel a need to limit you to feel more secure or in control. And I will never be so pathetic as to perceive your successes as a threat to your commitment to me or our bond, but instead a manifestation of the powerful impact our love for one another has had on each of our lives. I believe what so many of us call compromise is more like consented confinement — a shared, illogical fear that if we don’t enforce a strict set of restrictions on each other we will inevitably lose one another to something more thrilling. That is not what I want for us. I will never ask you to sacrifice a thing in exchange for my heart. And if you ever feel the need to spread your wings, I will gently let you go.
My priority here is our happiness, that’s all. That we both lead vibrant, individually fulfilling lives and achieve and experience all we set out to. Petty possessiveness is a purposeless poison, and I will never allow it to sicken our love or the joys of life available to us. I promise to always respect your strength enough to know you don’t need me to wage your wars, but should you ever call on me, you can trust that I will be there. And I promise you will never have to plan in advance or bargain with me just to have a night out with your friends. Your friendships are as integral to the health of your spirit as our love and they will never be put second or made to feel like they are competing with me for the privilege of your company.

Let’s be independent together. Let’s approach our relationship from a place of what we can bring rather than what we can take. Let’s be near each other out of necessity not obligation. Let’s remain together not just because we made a commitment, but because we genuinely choose each other everyday.

Our being together is not the end of your story, it is only the beginning of its greatest installment. Our being together isn’t hanging up your hat, it is slipping on a party dress, shooting back a whole bottle of tequila, and heading out on the town to make mistakes and memories that last a lifetime. So go on and write your story. Be the daring, free-spirited, defiant, mischievous creature I first fell in love with. I don’t need to be your whole world, I just want to share mine with you.

Advice Column: My fiance beats me like I’m a man like him

Advice Column: My fiance beats me like I’m a man like him

Please keep me anonymous
My fiance and I have been living together for 2 years now and we plan to get married in August this year, however, something happened yesterday evening. I got back late from work due working extra hours and he was busy pestering me about why I came late – maybe I went to see one of my boyfriends, blah blah blah. I just ignored him because I was too tired for silly fights but no, it seems the devil had other plans. I took my bath, ate some food and went to lie down. He came to the bed, hitting me rigorously on my head like I should move to the other side of the bed that he wants to sleep on that same spot. I acted dumb but when I couldn’t take it anymore I got off the bed and hit him back, like leave me the hell alone. Before I could say Jack, this guy just charged at me beating me blue black and red.
This isn’t the first time, he has done it severally even in front of his friends before. I moved out yesterday but i’m considering ending the relationship because I can’t marry a man that uses me as a punching bag.
Really confused here, please advice me.
Keep Talking - Why it’s Important

Keep Talking - Why it’s Important

Now that you’re settled with your partner, it might be time to start talking more openly about what you like or dislike in the bedroom. We all want to have a happy and pleasurable s3x life and talking about it will help make it happen. But where to start?
Below we lay out three common concerns you may have.  We don’t have all the answers, but we’ll try to give you some advice to get you started!

Why do I need to talk about s3x with my partner?

Your partner is not a mind reader and won’t know if you’re happy or unhappy unless you tell them! That also applies to lovemaking.Your partner is not a mind reader and won’t know if you’re happy or unhappy unless you tell them! That also applies to lovemaking.

Talking about s3x makes me feel uncomfortable!

Yes , talking about s3x can feel awkward at first. Your partner probably feels awkward about it too. So don’t worry! While kissing or being intimate, you can already mention how much you’re looking forward to making love to them. Encourage your partner to open up too. The more you talk about s3x, the more you get used to it, and the easier it becomes.
‘I’m really excited about making love to you, but I’m a bit nervous. Are you nervous too?’

Will my partner think less of me or think that I have slept with a lot of people, if I talk about what pleases me?

Some cultures look down on women discussing with their partners the s3xual side of their relationships. So introduce the topic slowly and gently. You could even show them this website!
‘I found this website Love Matters which talks all about s3x, and I thought we could look at it together to get some fun ideas for when we make love!’
Once you have looked at the website, perhaps you will both feel more confident to talk about things you would like to do with each other.
If your partner doesn’t like you sharing what makes you feel good, or doesn’t want to talk about s3x at all, then maybe they’re just not the right person for you.

How to talk about pornography and masturbation with your partner

First things first: there’s nothing wrong with masturbation and porn can be great too. In fact, they can help us understand more about our own bodies, and our likes and dislikes.
However, when you become part of a couple, and move into the sexual stage of your relationship, it’s good to take the other’s person’s feelings on porn and masturbation into consideration. Some people are very shy in talking about masturbation. With porn, your partner may have had bad experiences or be totally against it.
We believe everyone should be free to explore and discuss different ways of pleasing themselves and their partners. So here are a few tips for negotiating the sometimes-tricky worlds of masturbation and porn once you’re in a relationship.
