Jose Mourinho takes another swipe at Wenger During first Man-U Press Conference

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted the last few months of his Chelsea spell were ‘a disaster’ ‒ and the Portuguese had a thinly-veiled dig at long-term rival Arsene Wenger.
Mourinho, who was confirmed as Louis van Gaal’s successor in May, gave his first press conference as the club’s new manager during his unveiling at Old Trafford on Tuesday morning.
The 53-year-old tactician was relieved of his duties at Stamford Bridge last December after enduring a disastrous start to the defence of their Premier League title.
And Mourinho has opened up on the closing months of his second spell in west London by admitting they were a far cry from his glory days in the capital.
He said: ‘I was in trouble for the last five months: the first month was fine, the second month was not so good and after the second month it was a disaster.’
Mourinho returns to management with the objective of bringing back glory to Premier League giants United after Van Gaal’s disappointing two-year spell.
And the Portuguese appeared to have a dig at Arsenal boss Wenger, who has clashed with the former Real Madrid boss in the past, when insisting he has nothing to prove.
Arsenal last won the Premier League during the 2003-04 season and Mourinho insists there is no pressure on him to win the title this campaign.
He added: ‘There are some managers who last won a title 10 years ago, some of them the last time was never. The last time I won a title was one year ago,’ he said.
‘I have a lot to prove, imagine the others.’
